Garlic Potato Soup

I can't be the only one who loves Garlic Potato Soup, right? I've never been a fan of milk-based soups so I wanted to create a broth-based version of potato soup. The only way I like warm milk (and I only drink plant-based) is swimming in cocoa! This soup is simple to make and really warms you from the inside out. And on a cold, snowy day like today, I need that. Hello frozen toes! Your local grocery store should have everything you need for this soup. If you can't find the wakame, don't worry. It's optional! I love to add sea vegetables for the salty flavor and nutritional…

Garlic Potato Soup (vegan)

I've never been a fan of milk-based soups so wanted to create a broth-based version of potato soup. Because the only way I like warm milk (and I only drink plant-based) is swimming in cocoa! On a cold snowy day like today, this soup was simple to make and really warms you inside.  Most of the ingredients you should have available besides the wakame which is optional. I love to add sea vegetables for the salty flavor and nutritional benefits such as iodine, magnesium, calcium, iron, Vitamin D and more. 6-8 cloves of organic garlic, (I chopped the larger cloves but left the smaller ones whole) 5-6 large…

8 Favorite Healthy Valentine’s Day Gifts

8 Favorite Healthy Valentine's Day Gifts to Give your loved ones gifts that keep on giving Since Valentine's Day is known for the chocolate and/or sugar, we felt it was an appropriate time to share healthier ideas for gift-giving. Sugar is the culprit in creating inflammation in the body, along with suppressing the immune system and disrupting gut flora. The following gifts can benefit every aspect of a person's life and continue giving long after February 14. These are all products I use on a daily basis and attribute them to my natural solution to slow the aging process and increased vitality. Healy Microcurrent Wearable.  How do I…

Top 8 Unique, Organic and NonGMO Valentine’s Day Gifts

Our goal is to educate and empower people to ensure they know what will heal their bodies instead of causing harm.  Since Valentine's Day is part of "sugar season," we felt it was an appropriate time. Sugar is the culprit in creating inflammation in the body, along with suppressing the immune system and gut flora. The following gifts can benefit every aspect of a person's  life and won't add to the degradation of  health. Dark Chocolate. Who doesn't love this stuff? Lazy Cabbage Rolls

One of my favorite foods that mom used to make was stuffed cabbage rolls. She called them galumpkis which is a traditional polish dish.  Yes, I'm half Polish and half Czech so I've heard most of the jokes over my lifetime! The original version is quite time consuming so I was thrilled when my sister shared her "lazy" version of them. This is a great dish to keep you warm in the winter or any time you need an easy meal! Ingredients: 1 pound grass-fed ground beef 1/2 onion, chopped 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced 1 cup brown rice 2 small cartons of organic tomato soup 1 medium head of…

From a Small Business Owner to Another, Lessons Learned.

Over the past ten months since opening the B Renewed Wellness Center, it has been a journey of learning and growth. On most days, that growth would be better described as severe growing pains with the emphasis on severe and pain! You know the saying, “what doesn’t kill us makes us better,” right? So obviously, I must be a much better person for having experienced and (so far) survived my almost first full year as a brick and mortar business owner. I started B Renewed Wellness Solutions five years ago, consulting out of my home office. With four years under my belt, moving into a retail location didn't seem to be a drastic change. Boy, was…

Beating Seasonal Affective Disorder

Beating seasonal affective disorder naturally is possible. As I write this, the weather is cold and gloomy and a steady rain is falling. Don’t even get me started on the fact that it gets dark at 4:30 p.m. now.  I just want to curl up and nap on the couch with my blanket and my puppy dog. Do you find yourself struggling as the days are shorter and you are exposed to less and less sunlight? It is not unusual to experience some changes in energy levels as we move into fall and winter. However if you find that your symptoms are pronounced and you are having trouble…

Benefits of an Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser

Essential oil diffusers are an integral part of the holistic home or office. I have used diffusers for years and have one in almost every room of my home and office. A diffuser will add mist and/or essential oil molecules into the air to serve your daily emotional and physical needs.  For example, if you require focus on a task, you can use Rosemary Oil, Peppermint Oil or a blend of oils such as Focus Oil Blend. Eucalyptus oil is beneficial for respiratory support and Melaleuca is a purifying oil. Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Bergamot as well as Calming Aromatherapy Blend are wonderful essential oils to calm emotions. Diffusers are a valuable…
